The York County Junior Golf Association was created over two decades ago in order that young men and women could be exposed to the game of golf. Since that time hundreds of York County's youth have participated in this program. As Junior Golfers they developed the skills and etiquette necessary to play the game for decades. Over the years these Junior Golfers kindled friendships that will last a lifetime.
The YCJGA has a three-tiered program. The Novice and Intermediate levels strive to teach young golfers the rules of golf as well as the basic mechanics of the game. The ultimate goal for all of our juniors is to be a member of our Tour Players Group. Tour members travel throughout York County, playing great golf courses and competing with the area's best junior players.
***The YCJGA Board of Directors is looking for individuals to fill several vacancies. Anyone who is able to give about 2 hours per month to help our youth should email Steve Whiteley or Shane Stell***
The 2010 season is nearly upon us and the application for this year has been posted. Now that the snow has finally melted it's time to clean up the clubs and get ready. The Board has an exciting season scheduled, including play on the new Royal Manchester Golf Club.
